AT CONTROLLED TEMPERATURES

EFFICIENCY IN THE COLD CHAIN

Thanks to the Capstone oil-free gas turbine, it is possible to produce subzero refrigerating energy at controlled temperatures with substantial energy savings compared to electric chillers. The perfect solution for the logistic and food industries that make use of refrigeration at low temperatures.

TECHNOLOGY

Capstone gas turbine allows, in comparison to the classic piston engines, the production of superheated water suitable to power a specific ammonia absorption group for the production of glycolic water from -6°C to -60°C.

SYSTEM

Capstone gas turbine, powered by methane gas, produces electrical energy and, thanks to a heat recovery module (HRM) system, superheated water to be used as power for an ammonia absorption refrigeration group for the production of glycol water at subzero controlled temperature.

ENERGY DIAGRAM

The system guarantees a savings of over 30% of primary energy with system’s overall efficiency peaks of over 85%.
